This Role
Due to the ongoing growth and transformation of our organisation, we are seeking an experienced International Student Services Officer to join the team at our Perth campus. You will be an outgoing, self starter with a passion for supporting student wellbeing.  You will have experience in providing training administration and compliance support in a training organisation. 

This can be a part time role and the hours are flexible and will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

Key requirements include:

  • 3 years+ experience of working within an RTO, including responsibility for AVETMISS reporting
  • Experience in reading and interpreting regulatory and legislative frameworks and applying them to processes and policies including apprenticeships and traineeships and, ideally CRICOS requirements
  • Experience using and/or administering Student Management and Learning Management Systems, with exposure to PowerPro an advantage
  • Basic book-keeping skills, with exposure to Xero an advantage
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office package capabilities in Word, Excel and Outlook.  Specifically, must be able to develop pivot tables and reports in Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing process improvements that improve outcomes and the experience for students, staff and the organisation
  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to the success of others, in addition to meeting or exceeding your own objectives
In the role, you will:

  • Manage, liaise with, and process International Students against the ESOS Act.
  • Process student records, student enrolments, training and course information
  • Develop and produce reports
  • Troubleshoot escalated or complicated student issues, providing excellent customer service and resolving matters quickly and professionally
  • Conduct data entry and utilise the student management and learning management systems
  • Create and maintain learner records, including database entry
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in all administrative documents
  • Ensure compliance with funding contracts
  • Issue qualifications and Statements of Attainment to learners
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and company requirements in relation to enrolment, progression, and completion processes and student evidence
